Let’s talk Confidence: It’s a muscle worth building
We all have an idea of what it is to be confident and we recognise it when we see it or hear it: Confidence is being certain about the truth of something or a self-assurance of one’s own abilities or qualities; it’s the belief that we can rely on or have faith in someone or something and helps you gain credibility, make good lasting first impressions and supports you in dealing with pressure and meeting life head-on.

Accountability…who are you going to tell?
Own It! Best to BE Accountable before demanding the same! Who Are You Going To Tell? If you ever want to achieve anything, the first step is to tell someone, Accountability! I get paid to be that someone! Seriously, why beat about the bush? I get paid...

Are You Feeling Stuck in the Mud of Life?
As it so happens, when you change your Context magically, you are no longer stuck. You can only achieve so much by DOING things, after all, there are only 24 hours in a day, and most of us need to sleep. You could use a backhoe instead of a shovel, change the plan, change the Context of what you are doing. Another way of expressing this is to change the Context of who you’re a Being, in this case, stop Being a driver and start Being a pedestrian. Note how suddenly there now exists a new universe of possibilities.

Every good story needs a good guy and a bad guy
Every story needs a hero and a villain. Of course, there is a victor and a victim, as well. Again, just open any history book to see this at play, or any watercooler in any staff room, the same types of narratives are at play. I’ll bet most of the time you cast yourself as the Hero. I know that’s my preferred role. Others prefer to be the victim. That doesn’t belittle the circumstances you might find yourself in. Sometimes situations can be pretty tough. So, there’s NO judgement here. It’s a perfectly human way to be.

UNCOMFORTABLE with Life? Discomfort is your best ally.
It’s counterintuitive Nothing ever changes without Discomfort! Literally nothing, you can't even brush your hair without making some sort of effort! Some discomfort is even comforting, like the muscle ache that comes after exercise…So why are we so down on Discomfort?...

Responsibility: You can’t wear THAT old thing!
When you are responsible for your choices you don’t disown them down the track or even 5 minutes later. You literally decide and own them UP-Front. That’s the kicker. That’s the piece most of us struggle with or conveniently forget when we change our mind.

What’s lurking around the dark recesses of your mind?
What's lurking around the dark recesses of your mind? It's funny what you find when you start poking around in your shed or in your mind. Just recently, I was asked to take on an Integrity Challenge. In this challenge, you create a list of tasks for which you have...

Power it’s a loaded topic: Harness the power within you!
We take things for granted because we experience the benefits of what those before us have fought for. And, we aren’ there yet. Inequality is everywhere. If we are to empower those around us what is foundational is learning to empower ourselves and that, like anything worth having, takes some work to achieve. In an instant gratification world, that isn’t so appealing.

What’s next on the agenda? What do you continue to bump?
Things that are not important and not urgent and often fun, but they can be big time wasters chewing up hours and hours. They are activities akin to chocolate, high calories with no real nutritional benefit. These activities are best either eliminated altogether or, like chocolate eaten on rare occasions, if at all. I know chocolate is hard to give up. It’s this category of things and activities where we tend to default to when we are procrastinating.

Getting a handle on yourself when the world is in gripped by fear
We are neurologically hard-wired for fear: It’s part of what has kept us alive. There is, however, a real difference between fear and danger and despite us living in dangerous times, if we let our fears run away with us we will be in a worse state than if we stay on top of our fears. Distinguishing fear from danger makes a huge difference in managing our minds and therefore our ability to cope and act. Even just knowing this can make a difference. Let’s face it, it ain’t easy to be calm when it seems like everyone wants you to join the hysteria.
